This is my chi, Twila. She is almost 7 months old now, but this picture was taken when she was 3 months. In the pictures she weighed around 1lb and 6oz. She' s now at 2lbs and 2oz.

Hi, my little girl always gets mistaken for a pomeranian, when I bought her I was told she was a pure chi, but after so many comments I am beginning to wonder myself? Please help me, my son is heartbroken as he often refers to her as the tacobell dog!! Thanks any help would be apreciated

I have a chihuahua and a pomeranian - I will try to attach a picture of my pom - he is 10 years old. He is sitting with my shepard mix. Anyway, he looks a little like your puppy, but Babybear is about 13 lbs. I don't think chihuahua's can ever get that big. And chihuahua's come in so many colors and coat lengths..........did you see your chi's parents?

Then again - Babybear is a big for a pomeranian too - we got him from a pet store instead of a breeder before we knew better.........usually they are under 7 lbs. So I guess I didn't help ya out at all - sorry! :o

dont worry, some people just simply dont know the difference between the small breed dogs. i've been asked if O.P. is a papillion, shih tzu (???) and a pomeranian...your pup may just be long hair...you could get him groomed, and shaved, adn he may look more chi-like...and the hair does grow back, so if you dont like it, he'll be back to normal soon enough...

Don't feel bad, people think Chiquito is a pomeranian too! Some people don't even know that there are long hair Chihuahuas, and of course, when I tell them he is a long hair Chi they are surprised. Look at my avatar and you can see he is not a pomeranian.:D :D

I found this chi in the desert I brought him home he was quite hungry and needed water I stopped and picked up a leash and collar dog food but my apartment complex does not allow dogs I live in Fullerton,CA and want to find a good home for him he is fixed ,housebroken,and I have not heard him bark yet but he will growl at his reflextion in the window!!please contact me and let me know if this is your dog or you can give him a for ever home At this point I do not know what to do I have to travel on company buiness Sunday to go to Yuma AZ so I will have to take him with me
