im new and have a potty training question...

So i have a half chi half terrier puppy named petey who is about 14 weeks and we have tried teaching him to go to the door when he wants to go potty but he still pees and poops on the carpet and linoleum. He always poops in corners and when no one is watching him. We even tried the litter box thing but he just ended up trying to eat the litter. We also did potty pads but he still pees around them. Am I the only one who has trouble potty training?

have you tried belly bands or puppy dieapers?? the picture on you avatar its so freaking cute!!!:)
