Help I don't want him to get sick!!!

:eek: :eek: :eek: I cought a really bad cold. I've been ill for three days now. I'm sleeping in one of the extra bedrooms because I don't want my husband to get sick either, but Chikis wants to sleep with me and I am afraid I'm going to give him the cold. I'm taking medicine but I sill cough and sneeze at night and Chikis keep coming to the bed to stay with me and when I tell him no!! chikis you can't get on the bed with mommy, it breaks my hearth because maybe he thinks he is doing something bad. MY husband tries to keep him with him in the other bed but he jumps down and comes back to me. What can I do? I don't want him to get sick!!:eek: :eek:

you wont get him sick...i promise...dogs cant catch human colds, the virus doesnt react the same way in their bodies. so take comfort in your little guy, if you cant with your big guy, he'll fine

Yeah I have heard the same thing, I don't think that dogs can catch human colds!

I actually asked my doctor and vet about this type of situation becuase I am prone to getting colds/sinus infections, etc and they said animals dont generally catch our illnesses. And my 2 little dogs always sleep with me and spend all day with me and I have had strepthroat, pneuomina, sinus infections and numerous other things this year and they have never once gotten sick. So dont worry you can still enjoy your dogs company and let them sleep with you :)
