New Family Member

Hello, I'm so happy. Last week, hubby and me went to get a new puppy. He is not a Chihuahua, He is a Yorkie, I fell in love with Yorkies a long time ago, but didn't have time to own one. Since I got married I work part time so, I have time for all my pets, so we got, Kiki our cat, then we added Chiquito our Chihuahua to our family,and then came Oscarour Yorkie, but as some of you know, little Oscar went to the Rainbow Bridge last November. We didn't want to get another dog until we fell we were ready, so last month I told hubby I wanted another yorkie for my b-day. I didn't know if he was going to that, so he told me that it was ok with him that Chikis needed another brother to play with, because he got bored sometimes. So, we started our search, we didn't want to jump on the first one we saw, so we kept looking until the right came. His name is Jerome, he is 12 weeks old and very cute I know this is only Chihuahua related topics, but I just wanted to share my joy with the Chihuahua Family.:D

Im so happy for you! You know I love yorkies, so I think that was a perfect choice to go with a chi!! I cant wait to see pictures :p

now that we are mixing Yorkies and Chi's, I have a Yorkie now and am considering adding a Chi baby.... are their temperments ok together? My Tootie is sooo playful. I have a Chi/Spitz mix now and she just has sucn an attitude! I dont know how she would tolerate a baby sister... LOL

When we first got Oscar our Yorkie that pasted away Chiquito was very jealous but after a while they became very good friends I was worried because Chikis is not very friendly with any other dogs. Well, it took us almost 7 months before we got Jerome and we were a little worried again that since he had been the only dog for that long he wasn't going to welcome Jerome, but we've had Jerome for 2 weeks and they get along pretty well. They play and Chikis put up with a lot of things that Jerome does to him. Chikis is grouchy and Jerome is playful but they both get along. I would suggest go for it, but of course that is your decision only.:)

Aww your new yorkie is adorable! I want a yorkie someday too, when we have our own place and room for more furbabies! Right now we are in a rented apartment where no pets are allowed!! sshhhh don't tell the landlord we have pets! LOL. But I think yorkies are my first love, but when I came across Chili, I fell in love with him instantly, and he's such a sweet chi!! I love both breeds now!
