I'm a 20 year old student from upstate NY hoping to get a chipuppy within the next year or so. In the meantime I'm learning as much as I can about the breed and gritting my teeth in envy to all of you with your babies already!:D
We have two dogs (my elderly shih tzu and my mothers 125 pound St. Bernard) and two rats and am an avid animal lover.

Pleased to meet you all
:)

Welcome! There are times I am thankful I didnt do a whole lot of research on the breed before buy ( he was an impulse I know, bad mommy! ) If I had read more I wouldnt have ended up with him. I have small kids, another large dog, all the things they say are not good for chi's. Turns out he was a perfect fit for us. It's good to know what your getting yourself into though. I have already dealt with impacted teeth, hypoglycemia, seizures, its good to be informed thats for sure. Anyways glad to have you here since I am new too!

( edited to fix spelling, Dozer thinks he needs to help type )

He is fine now. He was scrawny and sickly when we got him. So so tiny. He ended up in a hypoglycemic seizure due to his refusing to eat. Now that he is older, bigger, healthier, he has not had a single problem with it. The teeth, who knows, he just never lost his puppy teeth, he looked like a shark, I am not kidding. 2 full rows of teeth! So when he got nuetered he got his baby teeth pulled. I still worry about him, he is my baby, I dont think it ever stops!
