So, I am able to take my dog outside when we first wake up and he goes. :) but then during the day he has accidents. He's still little and learning. So I put down a pee pad and he is going next to the pee pad or going no where near the pad. So his latest accident I picked up and put on the pad to kind of show him where he is supposed to go. Am I doing this all wrong?

It took me about 2 weeks to fully paper train our pup Zeth. I use newspaper which I spray with Simple Solutions Training spray. PetSmart sells it. Spread the fresh pee pad or paper on the floor in the spot you want him to go, then spray the paper with the Training spray and put your puppy on the paper right after you spray. Zeth would immediate pee ontop of where we sprayed.
I made the mistake of setting up papers for Zeth to go in three different rooms. I'm now in the process of trying to elimate 1 of the spots.
Lots of encouragement when they go on the paper and a firm bad boy or No when they don't go on the paper worked for us.
Good Luck.

No my guys don't do that, eat their poop i mean. I do remember when he was really little he pee'd and turned to lick it, well you should have seen him, cough and spuddering!!! Lets say he only tried it that once and once i took him to his water bowl he was ok. I have a friend whos pup will eat the poop if its left there, she has to pick it up right away! Hows Mickey doing? Good Luck!! Maybe someone with more helpful advice will answer that!
