Has anyone heard of or had an experience with this breeder in missouri? Feel free to email me privitely with any information.
Also....if anyone can recommend a trustworthy breeder, I would be very thankful. I am looking for a apple head with a compact body, I understand this to be called Cobby. Correct me if I have mis-information. I live on the west coast (washington)
I'm glad I found this site,

I would recommend going to the Chihuahua Club of America and looking for members/breeders in your area. They also have health info on their website (what the parents should've been tested for). I would NOT buy a puppy from a pet store or internet puppy broker, doing so only supports puppy mills and non-reputable breeders.

You could also go to www.akc.org and click on events to find dog shows in your area. Go to some shows (will be listed under "conformation"), buy a show catalog so you'll know who the dogs are, their owners and breeders. That way you can see dogs you like and get a chance to get to know some of the Chi people in your area.
You may also want to look into Chi rescue in your area as well.
Good luck in your search.

Just glancing at the website www.tinypuppy.com, this is not somewhere I would ever get a puppy from.
Please see the Chi Club of Amer. section on "teacup".
Also, those prices are ridiculously high for a pup from non-health tested, primarily non titled parents.
Is this the "breeder" you are referring to?
AKC registered only means that both parents were also AKC registered. It is not an indication of quality. Many of the other so-called registries (APRI, CKC - continental kennel club, etc.) were started to get around the AKC limited registration which is often placed on pups not of breeding quality so that it's offspring cannot be registered. The other registries are meaningless for the most part. Please be very careful in your search.

Okay, I just found the site I think you are referring to www.tiny-puppy.com
Again, I would see the CCA statement on "teacup" and other nonsense terms.
Although their prices are significantly less than the first one, there is no info on who the dams of the litters are, no pedigrees and no mention of any health screening on the parents. I would want a lot more info before even considering buying a pup.

Hi! I'm in Washington as well and I just got an ACA registed black and white cobby bodied male from Western Washington!! I have 3 others who have come from small in home breeders and I agree with not buying from the internet because I've had people refer to 6 pound dogs as "teacup" It's better to find someone local so you can see the parents and the condition of the home...Good luck!

Yeah I've heard the same 2puppies. I think people forget the standard size for a Chi is between 2-6 pounds. :p
After interacting with a couple of Chi parents, and my own, I found that at about 5 oz/month will get you a full grown Chi of 4-5 lbs average. That can help give you an idea when you see puppies, if you're looking for a specific size.

I also live in WA, (specifically the Seattle area). Eventually, I plan to breed my chi as I would like her to have one litter of puppies before getting her spayed.

Question for 2puppies. Does the person in Western WA have any puppies left?
