:) Hi All, I have two chihuahua's a male fawn Jessie and a female tri color Bailey. They are my total world, couldn't do with out them. Hope to meet a few friends here, and please don't mind my bragging about them. I'll get pictures up as soon as I figure out how to. Computers are not my strong point!:o

Please be sure to get them fixed unless you are planning on breeding. Raising Chihuahuas is very expensive. Some need emergency c sections that can cost over $1000 depending on where you live and the time of day she tried to deliver.

Spaying and neutering can also add years to the life of your pet as they will not contract cancers common in their reproductive organs.

My male was altered when was 6 months old. (he is now8 yrs old) The female was spayed after I had her for 4 weeks as she was ill when I got her at a garage sale. She will be 9 in Febuary. I bred and showed poodles for years and when I changed breeds to the chi's I new there would be no puppies. I was ready to stay home and relax, (no more grooming) I got them as pets and instead they are my family!:)

Wow, showing poodles must have been hard work! Isn't it wonderful to have such loving little beings in the house?

I love animals and used to teach a class on animal care. The students had to feed, water, and clean cages for a variety of animals. This way they knew if that was a pet they really wanted to have. Many students that had wanted their parents to get them certain animals changed their mind once they found out all the requirments and work they really were.

Thank you, yours is darling too, I like the long coat also, my lil one is just a princess....my short coat is very tiny she is 3 years old and weighs in at a whopping 2.5lbs, my long coat (Laci) is small too, she is about 31/2 lbs. There just so precious I think this is one of the best breeds out there!!!
