Hi my name is Melody and me and my family are from Oklahoma. Recently while away for the weekend My husband adopted a Chihuahua! I about cried my eyes out because I have ALWAYS hated small toy dogs. You seen I own 4 American Pitbull Terriers and they have been my breed of choice for 15 years. After he picked me up from my weekend trip, The whole way home I was giving him the nasty evil eye. I was down right against the dog before I even meet her. You see growing up my mother have Toy dogs and for the life of me I couldnt stand them. Always yapping and barking, Biting and getting away with everything. Once home I stood backing mumbling about " Dont blame me if she dead"( Tho Don't get the wrong idea ALL my pitbulls are pet friendly...Hell My oldest pit has raised 4 litter of kittens, a duck, a Skunk and she sleeps/eats with our house cats as does the rest of our pack) When the door to the house swings open Out darts this Brown and white ball of fluff thats going 90mph in circles...Damn me but it was cute.
Story short...20minutes later I was in love.( I was as bad as people who judge the Pitbull breed with out getting to know them, Much to my own Shame)

So now we have a Chihuahua........Lord if I know the first thing about them! So here I am wanting to better understand my husbands new breed( SEE! I totally dont claim her....But she seems to claim me...I say that as I am typing with her in my lap)lol

I need to get her photos onto my computer later tonight and post them. I have no idea how old she is but judging from her body/teeth and temperment I would say she between 2-4. We havent decided on a name yet for her. His been calling her Maddie due to her awful coat the day he got her but it sounds to close to his aunts Chihuahua.lol I was thinking Lexie ,Pala,Miya, Saxon, or Kara. Also From looking at her, She has the oddest coloring which makes me think with that long hair and fluffy FLUFFY tail she might be Chihuahua/ Papillon. Which doesnt shock me if so. Their are many couples in our small town who make a living off breeding such dogs and they tend to discard ones that can not be sold or breed.
