Hi Y'all, I have owned dog's all of my life. They have always been big dogs saved from the local pound. Now we have welcomed a new member to our family. Her name is Tinkerbell. I live in Northern California with my wife and 5 kids. (all are the 4 legged variety). I was working in lake Tahoe and on my way home a few months ago I found Tinkerbell. It was 9 PM and I was on I80. All of a sudden I saw break lights from the car in front of me. next thing I see is this little white blur dodging in and out of traffic. I stopped and it took me 15 min to catch her. I brought her home. The next day we went back to the are we found her, We put up over 100 fliers, We put an add in both local papers, and in the major paper in our home town. Next we went to all of the local business and put up more fliers. Then we filed reports with the the local SPCA. We wanted 3 months and not a word. we contacted the SPCA and they then gave us papers that stated what we did and we became the parents of this wonderful dog. Most people have asked why we spent so much time and money into finding her old family, well we know how much we love our dogs. and would hope that if one of them were lost that the people that found them would do the same. I have been looking on the net to try and find what kind of breed she is, and it looks like she is a chihuahua. so here we are! Cant wait to become a member of your family. Mopar is our Boxer/Lab mix peanut is our German Shepard, and Tink is well the small one:D

I also need your help, I am not sure she is a Chi. If any or you can tell us that would be great. If she isn't, I hope we still can hang out. I love the site.

She looks like a long haired Chihuahua. Chihuahuas come in all shapes and sizes. From 2 pounds as an adult to 25 pounds.
I know she will love you for many years.
Teresa
PS did you have her scanned for a micro chip?

Yes we did. 2 times. The first time was at the SPCA, and the second time was when we took her to our vet. We think she was abused. When I found her she was really dirty, her pads were raw from running around and her hair was matted up. She is wonderful. She is now the alpha dog :D She chases the other 2 around the house all the time. Never in a million years would I have wanted a small dog. But she is just great. It's so funny. I am 6'3" and when I bend down to pick her up I put my hands strait down and she stands up and waits for me to pick her up. Ok enough from me. as you can see I just love her!

She's a beautiful little gal, and I think she will have a long and happy life with you.
God bless you for caring!

It is really wonderful that you took her in and gave her back her life. I pity the family that allowed her to be lost. I know that Karma will bring them a dose of reality.

Thanks y'all. First thing, I love all of my animals. There is nothing like a pet that loves you no matter what. But this little dog is something special. i don't know what it is but she has a special place in my heart. She is my little buddy. She goes every where with me. she sleep's with me, she goes to the store, the car wash every where. They are just amazing. My wife makes fun of me. Here is a picture for you. I am 6'3" 265 lbs. I am 33 with a shaved head and a goat-tee. and I always have this little tiney Chi hanging off my arm. LOL

If she isn't a chihuahua, I would eat my hat (good thing I don't own a hat)! LOL...anyway, she sure looks like one...I'm sure your vet agrees????? My name is Julie, and my chi is Lulla Belle, 9 months old. You little Tinkerbelle is adorable...sure wish I could have been the one to find her!!! But I'm glad you did!!!
