Def long hair. When my hubby said he wanted a chi when I said I was getting him a puppy for his bday, I told him it should be a long hair. One of his bros has a few short hair chis and his sisters each have one. I am just not crazy about their looks. At least not the ones they have.

Short hair is the BOMB! I have a white, sort hair chi and she is so adorable! I've always been partial to short haired animals. Long hair is just too much maintenance! I can put her in the sink, lather her up, rinse her off and have her clean in about 90 seconds! Plus, I'm just crazy about her little pink belly!

Well I have two short hair Chihuahuas...but I'd love to have a long hair!

So guess I'm undecided...I just love all of them!

I prefer short haired. That's actually all I have ever had. I haven't seen many long haired ones, but I think it would be kinda hard taking care of their coats.

It does take a little more work. Puff has two very small snarls in her hair right now. Since technically, Puff is my hubby's pup, he has said he will give her a bath and comb her out. Still waiting for that to happen. LOL. I love the long hair look. The funny thing is, we keep our yorkie, Gypsy in a puppy cut.

I always preferred the long hair. Coco's coat is long but not high maintenance at all. I wipe her down in between baths. No trimming, occasional brushing, that's it. Probably depends how thick and long the hair is. But... when I was given my little one, Bambi, she is a short hair, very small fawn colored chi. OMG. My whole opinion opened up. I love her face and expressions and now I appreciate the short hair as much as the long hair. They are both awesome!

I prefer Short-coats! I have 9 Short-coats and I looove them!!! (but 2 of my Chis are long-coats, so don't tell them... I love them all the same, I just don't like the grooming.. LOL)

my chi is short haired. i love that he doesnt shed at all cuz my pug sure does shed! i think long haired chis are beautiful tho
