I recently bid on a coat for my chi and when I received the product it was 10 times to big for her. The sellers measurements were way off. I left her a kind email explaining to her I thought the coat was cute, but the measurements were off by a lot, and I would go ahead and keep the coat since the cost of the coat would be the cost of shipping it back, and I can use it as a small blanket. My chi measures like this; length 7 inches, girth 6inches, and neck about 5 inches, she is 3 1/2 years old. I always describe her as a small baked potato w/legs:p her lil feet are the size of a average mans thumbnail. Anyway, the seller ended up leaving me a negative feedback comment, I was curious if anyone else has had bad experiences with ebay? I was very disappointed with the whole experience.

Thanks,
Terri

Howdy Terri;
The wife and I have purchased a large aray of clothing from EBay (sellers from both the USA and Europe) and have been relatively happy or maybe just lucky with our purchases.
I have found that clothing is number marked measuring from the base of the neck to the rear or marked XXS or extra extra small (4"-6"), XS (7"-9"), small (10"-14"), ect. Costume sizes are generally noted as small (S) 10"-13", medium (M) 14"-17", ect.
We have both a larger and small pair of boys, so when on grows out of s set of cloths the little one get the 'hand me downs'. Our boys have a growing wardrobe, fact is that their closet is bigger than mine. hahahaha.
I don't understand the negative feedback that you received though. As I understand you sent and Email and not a negative feedback to the seller.
Just a thought, you could design and sew clothing to fit. I do all the sewing for our house and have made several clod climate sweaters for our boys ( it gets -20 degrees here at the house in winter).

Hey there Dave, thanks for the comment, I was just floored by the whole thing!! But I will just stay away from that seller...I understand about the dog's having a bigger closet, there just to fun to dress up. I know how to crochet I just haven't learned any dog patterns yet, I think that is my best bet for my girls since they are so small... I see you live in Oregon..My hubby and I lived in Albany for 6 years...Stay warm...

Terri, I take apart an apparel that fits well and use that as a pattern for that particular dog, sometimes its cheaper than buying patterns. Being retired and snow bound for winter gives me a lot of spare in door time to play.
Funny you lived in Albany , which is just a couple of hours west of us here in LaPine. We lived in Martinez, California , which is a 75 minute drive from Roseville.
I understand not wanting to use that seller on Ebay again, but that's live and learn when dealing with on line sellers.
Take care. dD

I know this is a little late but you CAN reply to feedback, so if he left you negative feedback you can reply, on your page and on his (and I would explain on his page that he was completely unfair in his feedback, it might convince him to agree to put both your feedbacks as neutral). I have had luck both selling and buying on eBay and as a whole it's been a great experience. I've only had one negative feedback, and it was also unfair, but it was resolved (the user cursed at me in the feedback message so the whole thing was removed!)

Best of luck!

I did go back and try to have it removed and the seller refused...so i am done with that seller and rarely go back to ebay it just left a bitter taste in my mouth.
