New here...looking for some information on a couple of the cuties i've been checking out. my in-laws have a short-haired chihuahua and just got a long-haired chihuahua on friday who is about 9 weeks old. They have regular sized chihuahuas so I'm looking to see if anyone here has information on teacups--for example-what does a 3 lb dog look like (short and long haired because we've looked at both) and are their barks/growls the same volume as a regular chihuahua's or not? thanks in advance :)

Well, there is really no such thing as a TEACUP Chihuahua. This is a term used by backyard breeders for the really small Chihuahuas. These pups have tons of health issues. They have sugar drops that can be fatal, they often need to have baby teeth pulled, and do not tolorate surgery well.
Just jumping off a couch can cause a leg to fracture or dislocate. The price to fix a broken bone in these tiny dogs can run thousands of dollars, and they may have to "pin" the bones.
Their bark is higher pitched. They are harder to potty train, and they are much more likely to be stolen. I have seen them and some members of my Meetup group have them.
