Hi,
I recently adopted a 3.5yo Chihuahua that was being rehomed because his people did not have time for him anymore. I have had dogs all my life, but never a chi before. I also have a yorkie, a maltese, and a shih tzu. Our family dogs were also yorkie and shih tzu. So as you see, I have no experience with Chi's.
His name was Blaze, but I decided to change it. He is so tiny, only 3 lb. So according to the weight charts he must have been around 0.2 lb when he was born!!! So I named him Zero Point Two, or just ZERO.
Zero is a great guy, very affectionate. I thought my maltese was velcro, but Zero is now almost surgically attached to me! :) He never leaves me, insists on warming my lap on a regular basis. And loves to give kisses. He sleeps right on my side under the covers! My other little ones also sleep in bed with me but never so close like Zero! He is unbelievably needy! Which is cute :) I love him to death already, and it has only been 5 days!
My other furkids are:
-Sushi, the tiny little yorkie girl, about 2.5yo
-Mr. Big, the tiny little maltese boy, 3.5yo
-Missy, my 15yp shih tzu.

Anything I need to know as a new chihuahua mom?
