Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum. My husband and I just got our first chihuahua over the weekend, and I'm hoping to learn all about them quickly. We are told she is a purebred chi and is about 4 years old.Some friends of my husband rescued her and her mate from an abusive owner. They couldn't keep both dogs though and offered the female to us. Most of my dog experience is with larger breeds, and I am clueless about chihuahuas. Does anyone have any tips on housebreaking her? Also, she has not been spayed. Is there such a thing as being too old to be spayed? Any other information you think a first time chi owner should know?
