WARNING- WARNING- WARNING

Leah Zacha of Sun Gold Chihuahua claims to be a show breeder but upon inspection of her site there is not a single dog who has finished in the show ring.With upwards of 20 dogs she instead supplies other breeders such as MidNightBlue Chihuahuas- Carla Barkman of Walkerton IND., who actually sells sick dogs and refuses to refund or exchange. And LightHouse Chihuahuas- April Collins of Galveston IND.

These people are doing planned direct line inbreeding and producing dogs with genetic faults.

Breeding each others dogs creating a pool in Northern IND. of dogs so closely related you can't find a clean pedigree to breed with.

These people are not members of any known breed club, they do not show dogs as claimed and in fact have never been in a ring., they do not offer buyers pre-purchase warnings of the difficulties of the breed and once sold refuse to offer corrective support.

None of their dogs have been OFA'd for heart and patella issues.

They are breeding on every heat a bitch has with no rest and once used the dogs are then dumped for free in news paper ads, without a care as to who then picks up the dogs.

(Why feed what can't make money right girls)

Read their sites and see for yourself how many dogs they have, what poor quality they are and how often the dogs are traded back and forth between the three.

You can not produce that many puppies and properly care for them...makeing blankets for them is poor substitute for proper breeding and a healthy happy up bringing.

Oh gag! That is so disgusting. I guess the AKC just doesn't care as long as they get the registration fee.

I checked her site out. She claims that she either has no puppies or lots of puppies, that all all her females come into heat at the same time, is there such a thing as doggie sync-ness?LOL. Now, I'm not a breeder myself, but I know enough about the breed to be able to see a warning sign! And Ms.Zacha sure has a warning sign she DOES put a lot of care into website apposed to those poor Chihuahuas.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to defend myself (SunGold Chihuahaus) against the false accustions made in these post about me, and my breeding practices. I know oppinions will always differ with people on the breeding of dogs. But I love my Chihuahuas very much, and they are all very well cared for. My web site is not falsley representing me or my dogs. It is all true, and anyone is welcome to come to my home and see for themselves. Here is my side of the story....

It all started when I began getting nasty emails from another breeder in Michigan. She was coming against me because of my friendship with a breeder located not far from me. She sent me several emails slandering my friend. After about the third email I finally gave her a piece of my mind. My mistake in all this was I should have ignored the first email ever sent to me. If I would have just hit the delete button, maybe none of this would have continued the way it has. Through all this I have tried to remain as professional as possible. Even in my email I sent her defending me and my friend, I was professional. No cursing, or threats of any kind. However the last email I received from this breeder in Michigan was very offensive, and threatning. She told me she would see my good name as a ruputible breeder go up in smoke (along with many other nasty things). She has tried very hard at doing this. She has posted many slanderous lies about me all over the internet. Thankfully because I do have such a good reputation of breeding happy healthy puppies for almost 20 years, many of my family , friends, past puppy buyers, and fellow Chihuahua breeders, have supported me, and have have tried to help me counter act against this false slander.

Here at SunGold Chihuahuas, I raise Chihuahuas for my own enjoyment. I love the breed, and have dedicated my days in caring for all their needs. I do not work out side the home, I call myself a stay at home "dog" mom. I have a beautiful 3500 square foot house on 7 acres. Anyone that knows will tell you me and my husband are clean freaks. My home and dogs are spotless. We are very financially secure, and spare no exspense on the care of my Chihuahuas. This breeder in Michigan has stated that I have 20 dogs. That is about the only thing I can find that she has said truthfully about me. My 20 tiny Chihuahuas are the most well loved, well cared for, doggies I know. I know many pet owners with only a few dogs, that do not give the care and love that I give my Chihuahua family. This breeder in Michigan has also stated, that I just throw away my adults after they are not able to have puppies any more. The fact of that is I do not breed my Chihuahuas past the age of 7. If they do not stay here, then I screen possible new owners that are looking for a dog that is past the puppy stage. I offer my home to these retired adult chihuahuas as a refuge for their whole life. If they do not work out in their new homes, they are always able to come back home here. I offer lifetime support of any puppy or adult obtained from my kennel. People who purchase a Chihuahua from me, can contact me for any help or advice they need for the lifetime of the dog.

I have made so many friends over the years through pet buyers, and other breeders. I have a long list of references and am ready and willing to give them out. It saddens me that their are evil people in this world that will try any way they can to destroy the good reputation of others. But I guess as long as we breath, we will have to deal with people like this. I am a Christian and I hold onto the scripture that says: "what the enemy has intended for evil God will turn it around for the good". There has already been lots of good come out of this. I never imagined the people that came forward giving me their support , confidence, and trust in my Chihuahua breeding program. Thank you to all these wonderful people.

If you have any questions, about me, and my Chihuahuas please feel free to contact me! Also make sure you check out my website to see all my beautiful Chihauhua kids :)

This comment "WARNING" is totally false about me (SunGold Chihuahuas) It was posted by an angry breeder in Michigan who does not know me, and has never been to my home. It is a long story how I got involved in this slander, but if you go to my website www.tinydogs123.com, and go to my "About Me" page you can get the true story. But in my defense, I do show my dogs, I do own champions, and my dogs are very well cared for. I have many references and testimonies from people who have been to my home, purchased pups, and friends that will say that everything my web site says and represents about me, and my dogs are true. I hope people is this forum understand that there are people who are out in this world who are evil and will try and destroy the good reputations of others. I love the Chihuahua breed, and I have given my life for the well being of all my dogs.

Thanks for giving me the opportuinty to be part of this forum, and please if you have any questions for me please feel free to email or even call, I will be happy to chat with you. Leah Zacha of SunGold Chihuahuas

What Are Defamation, Libel and Slander?

Generally speaking, defamation is the issuance of a false statement about another person, which causes that person to suffer harm. Slander involves the making of defamatory statements by a transitory (non-fixed) representation, usually an oral (spoken) representation. Libel involves the making of defamatory statements in a printed or fixed medium, such as a magazine or newspaper.
Typically, the elements of a cause of action for defamation include:

A false and defamatory statement concerning another;
The unprivileged publication of the statement to a third party (that is, somebody other than the person defamed by the statement);
If the defamatory matter is of public concern, fault amounting at least to negligence on the part of the publisher; and
Damage to the plaintiff.In the context of defamation law, a statement is "published" when it is made to the third party. That term does not mean that the statement has to be in print.
Damages are typically to the reputation of the plaintiff, but depending upon the laws of the jurisdiction it may be enough to establish mental anguish.
Most jurisdictions also recognize "per se" defamation, where the allegations are presumed to cause damage to the plaintiff. Typically, the following may consititute defamation per se:

Attacks on a person's professional character or standing;
Allegations that an unmarried person is unchaste;
Allegations that a person is infected with a sexually transmitted disease;
Allegations that the person has committed a crime of moral turpitude;While actions for defamation have their roots in common law, most jurisdictions have now enacted statutes which modify the common law. They may change the elements of the cause of action, limit when an action may be filed, or modify the defenses to an action for defamation. Some may even require that the defendant be given an opportunity to apologize before the plaintiff can seek non-economic damages.

I smell money coming.....:rolleyes:

i dont really see anything wrong with your site you only breed one breed & there all very nice looking
the only thing i dont agree with is the teacup breed if you dropped that you be ok to me

I think you are doing a great job.

If you are advertising 'teacup" chis, then perhaps you should rethink that?
Chis are small enough as it is.

your dogs are healthy and you have a good reputations for 20 years.

I hope others take the time to research and find out that you are on the up and up.

Try to forget that there are a lot of jealous people out there.

Good luck and G-d Bless.

Okay, I've seen the website, and there is not a teacup Chihuahua, most knowledgable breeders know this and discourage this but hey...not everyone is a reputable breeder! And you posted that speech on your 'About Me' page, like five times. We get it. End of story.

I admit I only glanced at the site and didn't see anything about teacups. But I will say that if the breeder is advertsing "teacup chihuahuas" then I agree that needs to be "rethought" as someone already said. There is no such thing as a teacup chihuahua and the term is generally used to get more money for a puppy.

Otherwise, I thought the dogs all look very well cared for.
