Shots

Today we took the girls to the vet to get their shots :( Josh had to take them back because I knew I would lose it if I was with them. Well it was almost as bad in the waiting room. I could hear Trixie start to whine and I almost cried but they were able to take some blood and give her the shots pretty well. Now that we are home I think they aren't feeling very well because they are just sleeping alot. Is that normal? Dixie is also very tender where she got her shot. My poor babies......So sad :(

The same thing happened to Melly when she had to get her shots so she can travel, she got real tired and sore where the shot went, just give it a day and she should be back to normal. But keep a close eye on them. Hope this helps.

yep, theyre acting normal. the excitement and stress of goin to he vet and getting poked is enough to wear them out, and those vaccines can be rough. if you notice swelling for more than a day, or lethargy, vomiting, respitory distress, etc...call your vet, your baby may be having a bad reaction to the vaccine...

Thanks :) They seem to be doing better today running around and playing well. Trixie still looks like she might be limping a little when she runs but other than that I'd say that they are ok. We have to take Dixie back in a month for another set of shots which I am not looking forward to but at least I have a month LOL ;) ;)
