Hello all!!! My name is becky and i have a sweet little 7 year old chihuahua named Rosie!!! Im 21 and just got a new place with my boyfriend. Rosie lived with my mother and me for the majority of here life and while she is potty trained i have had some new problems occur since we moved and was wondering if anyone could help with some training tips!! She is potty trained pretty well, we crate her now so she very rarely has accidents. She loves her crate and always has and will usually rest in her crate even when not told to! But now that we moved i have to take her out to potty where before she had a doggy door! she goes very well and i reward her with affection and occasional healthy treats. but she has been so curious about her new surrounding that she often does not listen to me when i call her back!! Our yard is not fenced in and it worries me that she will run off and get into the road or something! i never put her outside by herself and always watch her to make sure shes doing her business but today she was exploring the yard and getting into the neighbors yard and no mater how much i called she would not return to me. i had to go and physically pick her up! anyways i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas how to make her listen to me better! i will not use a shock caller or anything painful. i will take her out on a leash if i have to but i would like for her to just learn her boundaries!! if anyone knows any ideas i would really appreciate it!! thanks so much and im so glad to be a part of the chihuahuatalk family!!

I would probably take her for walks so she can release herself, and also take her on a leash when outside until you feel confident that she is going to obey you when you call her. Since you don't have a fence I would really pay attention to where she is. I think she is a little confused right now, try to understand that all this is new to her.
