Well I have all girls right now because I find them to be easier. You dont have to worry about girls "marking" or being agressive/dominating as much. Plus I personally like getting my girls all dolled up. But I have had a male dog before and he was just as affectionate as my girls. He just used to potty all over my house. It just depends on the dog, some are easier to train than others.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I have been looking into getting my first dog, here soon. I wanted a yorkshire terrier and then I looked into Chi's and they seem a little easier to maintain than the yorkie with all the hair. I love both breeds, but still have to make a final decision. I was thinking a girl would be better for what I want anyway.

I own both a yorkie and a chi, and yes chis are extremely low maintenance. EXTREMELY LOW. I dont ever have to do anything with tinkerbell except clip nails, occasionally wipe under eyes with stain removing pads(and of course occasional baths). But I love both breeds equally! I enjoy all the bathing and grooming that I have to do on my yorkie. Good luck with your descisions.:p

I like the females better just because the Males seem to mark theire spot more and plus I like being able to dress up Melly.:)
