I am concerned because Chikis doesn't want to eat his dry food anymore, but he loves to eat Kiki's( cat) dry food. I have put Kikis food on a high place so Chikis can't get to it, but then he starts making squeaking noises and I give up and put down the food so he can eat at least something.
He ignores his food. I guess cat food is more flavorful to him. Any sugeestions on how to ake eat dog's food? Is this normal?
He started doing this a few months ago.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks  :)

Melly does the same thing, but so does my golden retriever Opus, they love cat food, but Melly loves to try to sneak some of the bigger dog's food in, I am not sure why she does this but she does, maybe if you try swithing your Chi's food to a differnt flavor he might like it more. But I am not completley sure, hope this helps.

you cant let your chi eat only cat food. though its OK that it, its only ok, eventually a cat food only diet can cause problems, because cat food is not geared towards dogs systems. be strong, and keep the cat food up, then when he starts whining, put out fresh food of his. if he continues to whine, walk away from him and ignore him. also, mellysmommy's idea of a different flavor is a good one. they even make gravy type stuff to put over the dry food now...i hope this helps
my lab eats the cat food to and my lab snaps at the cats when they try to eat there own food she is just mean anyway i put the cats food in the laundry room and i shut the door so they can eat in peace but other thatn that im not sure

Our lab snaps at the cats and steals their food too. We just separate them into different rooms so the cats don't starve to death. lol
