I posted a thread a few weeks ago about Chiquito not eating his dry food and eating the cats dry food. Well, after I give him breakfast every morning which is can food, he does not want to eat anything else. I can hear his stomach growling and that breaks my heart but I don't want to give up. I have put the cat's dry food on top of the dresser so Chikis can't get to it, but he won't eat at all now. What am I doing wrong?:(

Im so sorry you are having problems getting him to eat. I had a similar problem with my yorkie refusing to eat puppy food and I had to give in and let her eat adult dog food with her older sisters. But thats not as bad as cat food.
My husband gave me a few suggestions to tell you:
1) try gravy on the dog food(this works on my dogs when they get sick of their food) you can buy doggie gravy at the petstore.
2) or Try mixing a little of the cat food with the dog food and see if you can at least get him to eat it this way. Maybe you can get him to start accepting his food all by itself after a while.
3) or Maybe try a different food. My dogs got completely tired of Nutro so I had to switch brands.
I hope something will work for him:)

You know, I've changed the food to try to get him to eat but it hasn't worked. I tried the gravy also, didn't work. Next, I'm going to try mixing the foods the cat and dog food, I will keep my fingers crossed :) .
Thanks you for the suggestions.

Wow I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time with the foods! Mine eats mostly canned because he doesn't really care for the hard either. I leave the dry down all day for him though and he snacks on it throughout the day. I have the gravy as well and he licks the gravy off the dry food and leaves the nasty half mushy dry food. Have you tried mixing the dried with some warm water to kind of make it mushy?? That might help a little!
