hi im new here

hi i am new here. i currently have 3 dogs and two cats. i am a mother of two small boys. my oldest is 19 months and my youngest is 11 weeks. i am a stay at home mom. i love all animals and have had all types. we just recently got a male chihuahua puppy he is going to be 3-4 lbs. he is a black tricolor. i will eventually get some pics of him up and my others. his name is niko. we are getting a female on the 15th of this month she is going to be tiny around 2 lbs full grown. her name is makayla. she is white with chocolate spots. very cute. she fits in the palm of my hand. i will get a pic of her soon too. i also have a pitbull austrailian cattledog mix and a pitbull mastiff mix. and please if you dont have any nice comments about my dogs and the types do not respond to my post as i will fire right back. i also have two cats who my dogs have been raised around. i used to raise and breed persian cats which is why my email and name is melonypersians. i have recently started making clothes for my chihuahuas. i will put up some pics of the clothes too as i wil be making some to sell. very cheap. i am not a professional but they look really good. i know alot of people are now getting what some people are calling micro teacup puppies. i know that it is very hard to find clothes for dogs who are under 3lbs. so i started making them. but i hope to meet alot of nice people who share the love of animals as much as i do. thanks-melony

hi i see that a few people have read my post but i have had no replies. i just wanted to say sorry for sounding so harsh. i have had some issues with people over my choice of having pitbulls. alot of people have opinions that are ignorant. they will make comments without having facts on the breed. so i am a little deffensive about my animal babies and my human babies. but i just wanted to let everyone know that i am very nice and i love all my babies so much and i hope to meet other people who love theirs as much as i do. again sorry for sounding so harsh. i lokk forward to hearing from you and meeting new people. thanks-melony

Hi Melony!

Welcome to the board! I am a Bully breed lover as well (would've gotten a Pit or English Bull Terrier if I hadn't ended up with Chis but I had a neurological disease early last summer and if I'd gotten a bigger dog I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to care for it properly, in case I didn't get over my illness. I did thank goodness and I love my Chis, although will always have a soft spot for Bullies!). I do understand how you feel with people making rude comments as I used to babysit for my neighbour's Pit (who was the best dog ever, unfortunately she died as she had an inoperable brain tumour). I find the best way is to take everything with a grain of salt now; it is an honour to be hated by fools. Also because THEY are ignorant us bully fanciers have to take the high road and educate them on what they don't know. The truth is that ANY dog can hurt a human being if the human being does stupid things and assumes that dogs are people. I love all my dogs but I would never ever assume that they can think like people, and that is the message I try to get across to people who jump to conclusions about certain breeds. Even my Chis have a hard time because people assume they are bitey, yappy little things but they are mostly quiet and love people. I think the key is to let people know that the media is NOT a reliable source of information and they should experience each breed for themselves to see how wrong media depictions are.

Hi! I am new here too! I love the photo of your baby! I live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere Texas. ;) I have four of the most precious dogs in the whole wide world (I'm not biased)! :rolleyes:

Norman is a six year old Schnauzer, Dumpster is a one year old Pitbull Mastiff mix, Margarita is a 16 week old Chihuahua and Bear is a six week old ummm...we are not sure yet! :D Possibly Pyrenees mix or Chow mix. We shall see.

Dumpster was found in a...can you guess? A dumpster! He had just opened his eyes and was so tiny. We bottle fed him and he is so wonderful and handsome and I can not imagine anyone complaining because of his breed!? :eek: Since my animals ARE my children, it would put me on the defense too! Don't worry about it!

I am so glad that you're here. I would love to compare photos of our mastiff/pit mix dogs!

I know where you are coming from as far as your Pit bull.
I have had several of them mostly from rescue and I took a lot of heat for taking in Pit's but I have had good luck.
And the only dog that ever bit me was a Dalmatian.
But your baby is very cute.

I think all your pics are great!!!! I also have a bull mastiff and many people have an opinion about her too. I love Pheniox's look, and your Chi, looks similiar to Milo! Welcome!!!!!!
