Hey! I'm new and I have a question!

Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I have a long haired chihuahua named Toby. I've always heard horror stories about Chihuahuas and their aggressiveness, but Toby shows no signs of that. Anyways, he's been licking a lot, almost anything that he can, including my mattress when he's sleeping with me, and I just want to know if it's a Chihuahua thing, considering that my pomchi did it when she was still alive. Can anyone help? Here are pics of Toby!

Toby looks just like Chikis. You are lucky that he is friendly socialize him a lot, that helps them not to be very territorial. I didn't do that with Chikis and now he only likes my in laws, my husband and me. As far as licking, chikis licks his front paws, but that is an allergy, so every time he starts licking I put allergy spray on his paws and he stops. He doesn't lick any thing else.

Thanks! And yeah, we take Toby and my other dog, a min pin mix, to the dog park about twice a week, starting when we first got Toby. He always has such a blast there, too! We went yesterday, and there was a tiny little yorkie female who just fell in love with him, and everytime he got on the table, she work run over and starting giving him kisses.

Exactly lol. My min pin mix is a female, and when we first got Toby, she was so excited. I think it was love at first sight :p

thats just a stereo type. i have pitbulls along with my chi and its all in how they are raised and socialized. good luck. he will be fine.have you been to chihuahua people forums yet try them out. there arent many people here. www.chihuahua-people.com
